What do graduates need?
According to Grad Ireland, a finance degree is not a necessity, although you will need to be numerate. However, these jobs usually require a 2.2 degree or above. Employers will also be looking for evidence of your analytical skills and confidence when explaining financial information. Good interpersonal skills are particularly important for careers where you are dealing with clients that are external to your employer. For jobs in the Funds industry, it is certainly useful to have a keen in the financial markets and the ability to adjust to new regulation quickly.

According to the International Financial Services (IFS) Ireland, Ireland is currently the number one location for alternative investment funds.
