We have a vacancy within our office for a Commercial Account Handler to assist us in managing a portfolio of SME risks. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a professional rapport with customers when arranging, altering, or renewing their insurances.

Key responsibilities:

  • Issuing renewal documentation to clients and following up to ensure retention of the account
  • Managing a portfolio of existing SME clients
  • Renew all types of Commercial Policies including Combined, Retail, Liability, Fleet, and Farm accounts
  • Cross-selling to connected personal lines policies as well as some new business development
  • Issuing of new business quotations
  • Servicing of accounts including mid-term alterations, handling of claims, etc
  • Dealing with client queries and providing excellent levels of service to our clients
  • Adhering to all compliance requirements

Experience

  • Minimum of 2/3 years working in a Commercial Lines role within an insurance brokerage
  • Have developed a strong insight into business’s ways of working and their needs
  • To have the ability and experience to identify business opportunities
  • CIP, APA Commercial or grandfathered qualification
  • RELAY broker system experience essential
  • Good working knowledge of insurers online platforms
