Finance Project Manager (Accountant)

Our client is undergoing a major business transformation, consolidating five finance systems into a unified solution that will support future growth and a new finance operating model.

They are looking for a Senior Finance Business Project Manager to lead the planning and implementation of multiple finance projects, with a focus on business readiness for strengthening financial governance and control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate multiple finance projects, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
• Collaborate with the Process Design Authority and Finance Design Authority.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Manage stakeholder communications, risk identification, and financial dependencies.
• Support transition planning and drive process improvements.
• Oversee end-to-end project execution, ensuring SDLC practices are incorporated.
• Prepare project reports and financial documentation for senior management and stakeholders.

About You:

• 5+ years of project management experience, with relevant certification (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.).
• Qualified accountant with membership in a recognised professional body.
• Proven ability to lead finance transformation projects and manage interdependent teams.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
• Commercially astute with experience in project financial management.
• Adaptable and able to work in dynamic, multi-stakeholder environments.
