Job Specification: Senior Account Director - Commercial Lines

Our client is seeking a dynamic and driven Senior Account Director - Commercial Lines to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong commercial insurance background to manage an existing small book of business while spearheading new business acquisition. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and possess the hunger and drive to make a significant impact.

Sales and Activity Management:

· - Seek, quote, and convert quotations for new commercial clients.

· - Achieve income acquisition and referral targets.

· - Manage a small portfolio of existing clients, including renewals, mid-year alterations, and claims handling.

· - Collaborate on company-driven sales campaigns with the New Business and Existing Teams.

· - Generate and convert leads for larger commercial risks independently.

· - Provide guidance and support to Account Executives on client matters.

· - Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and protocols.

· - Monitor and manage aged debt and premium collection.

· - Adhere to agreed processes and maintain audit readiness.

· - Foster an excellent team work ethic.

Customer Relationship Management:

· - Build long-term, trusted relationships with customers by understanding their needs.

· - Enable informed decision-making by sharing best practices and insights.

· - Act as a true partner to clients, delivering tailored solutions.

Customer Service:

· - Provide professional, action-oriented, and timely service to customers, staff, and management.

· - Deliver exceptional customer experiences, aiming to exceed expectations.

· - Take ownership of accuracy and quality in all work.

Team Collaboration:

· - Work closely with the Business Development Director and other team leaders.

· - Collaborate within the Commercial Lines New Business Team to achieve collective goals.

· - Support Account Executives and contribute to team success in meeting customer needs.

Compliance:

· - Partner with Compliance Teams to ensure quality of records and adherence to prescribed standards.

· - Comply with the Central Bank's Minimum Competency Code and Fitness & Probity requirements.

Requirements:

· - Minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial insurance.

· - Proven ability to manage an existing book of business and secure new business.

· - CIP qualified (minimum) and actively working towards ACII.

· - Strong technical and product knowledge with the ability to handle complex commercial risks.

· - Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

· - Demonstrated ability to balance price and risk effectively.

· - Motivated, self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude.

· - Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

· - Compliant with regulatory requirements, including the Central Bank's MCC and Fitness & Probity.
