Financial Accountant required in Dublin on a hybrid working model with 3 days remote and 2 day in office.
Your Responsibilities:
- Financial Support and Analysis: Aid senior finance personnel with daily tasks, including preparing, reviewing, and consolidating monthly management accounts, as well as supporting ad hoc projects.
- Month-End Responsibilities: Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end processes and review reconciliations, particularly related to fare revenue.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of financial reporting, systems development, and the implementation of improved finance controls and procedures.
- Documentation and Control: Maintain high-quality and up-to-date procedure documentation, ensuring a robust control environment with proactive risk and issue escalation.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise effectively with both finance and non-finance teams, ensuring open communication and keeping management informed of relevant matters.
- Business Reporting Development: Support the enhancement of business analysis and reporting processes to improve overall financial insights.
Your Requirements:
- Professional Qualifications: Hold a recognised professional accountancy qualification and be a member of a relevant professional body.
- Relevant Experience: Possess at least five years of experience in a related role.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, a logical approach to problem-solving, and sound judgement.
- Organisational Proficiency: Exhibit excellent organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise workloads effectively to meet deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
- Teamwork and Initiative: Display the ability to work independently and collaboratively, contributing proactively and constructively to team efforts.
