Finance Manager

This role supports the delivery of finance initiatives, including project monitoring, reconciliation processes, and strategic improvements. The successful candidate will work across multiple teams to ensure compliance, efficiency, and alignment with organisational objectives, driving value for money and financial discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Support and Oversight:

  • Monitor and manage the financial performance of ongoing projects.
  • Develop and implement tools for tracking budgets, expenditure, and progress.
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting for strategic and operational projects.
  • Support resource planning and risk management within project portfolios

Financial Controls and Compliance:

  • Ensure alignment with relevant standards, including public sector guidelines.
  • Develop and enhance financial policies, controls, and governance frameworks.
  • Monitor and report on revenue reconciliation processes.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Lead and support cross-functional teams, offering training and guidance on financial processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address dependencies, risks, and opportunities.
  • Act as a key liaison for internal and external audits.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and implement opportunities for process optimisation.
  • Leverage technology and automation to enhance efficiency.
  • Drive cultural and operational changes within the finance function.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, including managing finance projects and processes.
  • Strong knowledge of public sector finance and compliance frameworks.

Desirable:

  • Experience with finance transformation or systems implementation.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based reconciliation tools.
  • Project management expertise
