Financial Accountant
Our client is looking for a skilled Financial Accountant to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven professional to deliver exceptional financial and compliance services to a diverse portfolio of clients within the financial services sector.
As part of the finance team, you'll play a key role in providing high-quality reporting, ensuring compliance, and building strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Oversee the onboarding process for new clients, setting up tailored service frameworks to meet their specific needs.
- Prepare and deliver management accounts on a monthly or quarterly basis.
- Draft statutory and consolidated financial statements.
- Manage audit packs and provide support during external audits.
- Handle payroll processing, VAT, PAYE/PRSI, and corporation tax returns.
- Reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash flow.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable for client companies.
- Liaise with clients to gather necessary information, meet reporting deadlines, and address their requirements.
- Ensure client queries are resolved promptly, maintaining a high level of service quality.
- Assist in mentoring and training junior team members.
What You'll Need
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA, or CIMA).
- Solid knowledge of Irish GAAP and IFRS (experience with US GAAP is a plus).
- A degree with at least a 2.2 honours or equivalent.
- Experience in a finance department within a commercial organisation (preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced Excel skills, including handling large datasets.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work effectively.
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach and the ability to work independently.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a team setting.
