The Opportunity
An established and technically specialised engineering services provider is seeking a commercially-minded Head of Finance to play a key leadership role during an exciting period of transition and growth. With recent integration into a larger group, this role offers the chance to shape financial strategy, lead integration efforts, and contribute to future acquisitions.

Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day financial management of the business while also acting as a key strategic advisor during the next phase of growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function, including management accounts, budgeting, cashflow forecasting, and statutory compliance

• Oversee integration with the new parent company, aligning financial systems, reporting, and internal processes

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, delivering timely and accurate financial reports

• Partner with operational and commercial leads to provide insightful analysis and support decision-making

• Strengthen financial controls, streamline reporting, and drive continuous improvement initiatives

• Build strong relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions

• Play an active role in upcoming M&A activity, supporting due diligence and post-acquisition integration

Experience & Skills Required

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with 5+ years of post-qualified experience

• Background in engineering, construction, or project-based environments preferred

• Proven experience operating within or integrating with a parent/group structure

• Strong commercial acumen and ability to balance strategic insight with hands-on delivery

• Advanced Excel and finance systems capabilities

• Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels

Salary C€90-100,000 plus bonus and pension.
