Financial Accountant

Are you an experienced Financial Accountant looking to make a meaningful impact in the not-for-profit sector? An established national organisation supporting people with sight loss across Ireland is seeking a qualified, detail-oriented finance professional to join its team in Dublin.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations across a diverse group of entities, including services, retail, and sporting arms. This is a key role within the finance function, supporting operational and strategic decision-making and contributing to a mission-driven organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts (full P&L and balance sheet)

• Variance analysis vs budget and prior year

• Collaborating with managers to review financial performance

• Managing intercompany accounts

• Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register

• Liaising with auditors for year-end processes

• Reviewing bank reconciliations

• Assisting in annual budget preparation

Experience:

• A fully accredited professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA)

• Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience, with at least 3 in a relevant role

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

• Strong teamwork, communication, and relationship management skills

Salary/Remuneration

€70,000 with pension and excellent annual leave.
