Senior Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant | Healthcare Services | Hybrid

We're currently working with a growing healthcare services group to recruit a Financial Accountant for a permanent role based in the Meath South East, with hybrid working available.

This is a hands-on position suited to a qualified accountant who enjoys taking ownership of the numbers and working closely with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

The Role

You'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the business with timely, insightful financial information. The role offers broad exposure across core accounting, reporting, budgeting and systems improvement, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and responsibility.

Key areas will include:

• Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting senior reporting

• Reviewing financial performance and providing analysis to aid decision-making

• Balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls

• VAT and statutory returns

• Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow analysis

• Supporting the year-end audit process

• Involvement in finance process improvements, automation and system enhancements

• Supporting ad hoc projects as the business continues to grow

About You

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)

• Around 5+ years' post-qualification experience in a similar role

• Comfortable working in a hands-on, operational finance environment

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

• Confident Excel user with experience using accounting systems

• Able to work independently while collaborating closely with a small finance team

• Experience in healthcare or service-based environments is a plus, but not essential
