Project Accountant (6 Month Contract) | Healthcare Services | Dublin North / Hybrid
We are currently supporting a healthcare services organisation with an immediate requirement for an experienced Project Accountant / Financial Accountant to join the business on a contract basis.
This role is project-focused and will suit someone who enjoys improving finance processes, supporting systems change, and bringing structure and consistency across multiple entities.
The Role
The Project Accountant will work closely with the finance leadership team to support day-to-day financial reporting while playing a key role in finance centralisation and systems transformation across the group.
The role will have a strong emphasis on management reporting, systems integration, and improving the efficiency of financial processes across multiple sites.
Key responsibilities will include:
Supporting the centralisation of finance processes across the group
Assisting with the transition and implementation of new financial systems
Working with site-level finance teams using QuickBooks
Supporting payroll-related projects, including the rollout of a new payroll system
Reviewing and improving financial reporting flows and controls
Supporting month-end close and reporting activities
Providing ad hoc analysis and project support to finance leadership
Current Environment
Site-level accounting system: QuickBooks
Time & attendance system already in place
New payroll system planned as part of wider finance transformation
Straightforward financial model, with:

Payroll-heavy cost base
About You
Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
Strong experience in management accounting and project-based finance roles
- Solid understanding of debits and credits
Previous exposure to finance transformation, centralisation or systems implementation
Comfortable working across multiple entities and engaging with non-finance stakeholders
Strong systems aptitude and process-improvement mindset
Able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced, evolving environment
