Senior Leadership Role in Irish-Owned Heritage Business | Co. Meath (Exclusive Search)

We are supporting a highly regarded Irish family-owned business who are hiring for a Key Strategic and Operational Position. This is a well-established business with over 50 years in bespoke timber windows and doors. They are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Fractional CFO to work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to provide financial oversight and support growth.

About the Role

This is a senior financial leadership role, working in close partnership with the CEO and internal finance team. The role is based in Trim, Co. Meath, and is part-time / fractional (approx. 2 days per week).

The Fractional CFO will provide strategic financial guidance, improve financial discipline, and support growth initiatives including potential UK expansion. This is a hands-on role focused on strategy and oversight, with a strong team in place to deliver on day-to-day finance operations.

Core Responsibilities

• Strategy & Planning: Develop long-term financial strategy, provide financial modelling and insight, support potential acquisitions.
• Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and management reporting.
• Controls & Processes: Strengthen controls, reporting, and systems; make processes scalable and reliable.
• Team Support: Work with the finance team (Financial Controller, Finance & Performance Manager, AP/AR, Purchasing); provide senior-level challenge and guidance; mentor team where needed.

What We're Looking For

A senior finance leader with strong commercial sense and the ability to influence at CEO/owner level.

Essential Experience:

• Experienced CFO or senior finance leader
• Hands-on, pragmatic, confident in both strategy and finance
• Strong communication skills, able to influence leadership
• Experience in owner-managed or family businesses desirable
• Manufacturing or product-focused business experience preferred

Highly Desirable:

• Exposure to lean methodology or process improvement
• Experience supporting acquisitions or integrations
