Renumeration: €110,000 - €120,000 base and package

An established and growing construction organisation is looking to make their first IT hire - Head of IT. This is a greenfield opportunity to design, build, and lead the company's IT strategy from the ground up, supporting business growth, modernisation, and digital transformation. The role will be primarily on-site during the initial phase while the IT function is established, with scope to transition to a hybrid model thereafter.

THIS WILL BE A STAND ALONE IT ROLE FOR THE FIRST FEW MONTHS

YOU WILL BE ONSITE 5 DAYS A WEEK FOR THE FIRST FEW MONTHS INTIALLY

Key Areas:

  • IT Audit & Strategy Development
  • Conduct a full review of the current IT environment, including systems, infrastructure, vendors, and risks. Develop and deliver a clear IT roadmap and long-term technology strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • ERP Cloud Migration
  • Lead the migration of an existing on-premise ERP system to a cloud-based solution, ensuring minimal disruption, scalability, and business continuity.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Expansion
  • Oversee the rollout and integration of Dynamics 365 across additional business functions, improving efficiency, reporting, and data visibility.
  • HR Systems Implementation
  • Select and implement a new HR software solution to streamline processes and enhance user experience.
  • Vendor & Partner Management
  • Manage external IT service providers and vendors, including contract negotiation, SLA management, and performance oversight.
  • Infrastructure & Security Oversight
  • Ensure the stability, security, and resilience of the organisation's IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on cybersecurity, access controls, and best practice governance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Work closely with internal teams to understand business needs, resolve issues proactively, and position technology as a key enabler of productivity and innovation.

Key Experience:

1. Strong experience with Microsoft technologies, including Azure, Microsoft 365, and Dynamics 365

2. Head of IT / Senior IT manager experience working in large scale environments

3. ERP system experience, particularly migration or implementation projects

4. Proven ability to deliver cloud-first IT strategies and end-to-end projects

5. Knowledge of IT governance, vendor management, and security best practices
