We're working with a well-established Dublin basaed construction firm who are looking to hire their first Head of IT - a brand-new leadership role offering the freedom to build, shape, and drive a modern IT function from scratch.
Initially fully on-site in Dublin while setting things up, with the option to move to a hybrid week once the function is established. You'll report directly to senior leadership and be a key part of the company's future and be the go-to person for all things tech - setting strategy, guiding digital transformation, and making sure systems, security, and infrastructure are all pulling in the right direction. It's a mix of strategy and hands-on delivery with plenty of scope to make a lasting impact.
A snapshot of what you'll be doing
- Review the current IT setup, identify gaps and opportunities, and build a clear roadmap for the future.
- Fine-tune an already-migrated ERP system and make sure it runs smoothly across the business.
- Expand Microsoft Dynamics 365 use beyond sales to improve data flow and team efficiency.
- Help introduce a new HR platform that makes life easier for everyone.
- Identify ways to use AI and automation to boost efficiency and decision-making.
- Manage IT vendors and ensure strong performance and value from all external partners.
- Keep infrastructure secure, reliable, and compliant with best practices.
- Work closely with leadership and teams across the business to ensure IT helps everyone do their best work.
What we're looking for
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, and Dynamics 365.
- Experience managing ERP systems and running cloud-first IT projects.
- Strong vendor management and IT governance background.
- A real interest in AI tools, digital transformation, and smarter automation.
- Someone who's proactive, practical, and great at working with people at every level.
