Engage People Recruitment is delighted to partner with a global investment firm as it continues to build out its presence in Ireland. We are currently recruiting a Fund Accounting Manager to join a growing Dublin-based team.

The Company

This organisation is a long-established alternative investment manager with over $30bn in assets under management, investing across a broad range of credit and real asset strategies. It operates globally, with offices across Europe, North America and Asia, and is known for its deep fundamental approach, complex structures, and institutional investor base.

The Role

This position sits within a newly established Dublin office and plays a key role in the oversight and control of fund accounting activities across a portfolio of complex alternative investment vehicles. You'll work closely with the global Fund Accounting function and partner extensively with trading, operations, tax, legal and investor teams.

What you'll be doing:

  • Oversee the accounting and review of alternative investment funds, including NAVs, performance and expense allocations

  • Manage and challenge third-party administrators, reviewing monthly and quarterly fund deliverables

  • Own the month-end process, ensuring accuracy across cash, accruals, and income recognition

  • Support valuation processes for underlying investments and liaise with relevant internal stakeholders

  • Coordinate year-end audits and assess appropriate accounting treatment for complex transactions

  • Respond to investor-related queries and reporting requests

  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within finance and fund accounting

The Ideal Candidate

  • Fully ACCA qualified

  • Extensive experience within fund accounting, product control or financial control in alternative investments

  • Big 4 experience is preferred
  • Strong understanding of hedge fund and/or private market fund structures

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, global environment with senior stakeholders

  • Detail-oriented, commercially minded, and confident taking ownership

  • Strong Excel and analytical skills
