Role Overview
An established and high-performing organisation is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join its finance team. This role places finance at the centre of decision-making, providing financial insight and analysis to support strategic planning, operational performance, and commercial growth across multiple areas of the business.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and operational teams, supporting business planning, evaluating investment decisions, and ensuring financial performance aligns with organisational objectives. The role requires a commercially minded finance professional who can translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insight for non-financial stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare management reporting and provide clear analysis, including explanations of variances against budget and forecasts.
Support the preparation and review of annual budgets, business plans, and rolling forecasts.
Coordinate month-end reporting timelines and processes.
Assist with audit processes, statutory reporting, and year-end activities.
Provide financial modelling, analysis, and commercial advice across a range of projects, including return-on-investment assessments.
Support decision-making through financial evaluation of proposed expenditure and initiatives.
Proactively identify risks and opportunities, recommending actions to improve financial performance.
Support cashflow forecasting and related financial processes.
Contribute to system and process improvements, including automation initiatives.
Review supplier arrangements and outsourced providers from a financial perspective.
Maintain strong internal controls and support best-practice financial governance.
Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across multiple departments.
Skills & Experience
Essential
ACA, CIMA, or similarly qualified accountant.
Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar finance or business partnering role.
Strong management accounting, forecasting, and analytical experience.
Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, and pivot tables.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly.
Highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
