Fund Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review month‑end financial reporting, including incentive fee calculations and carry allocations.
• Review management accounts from external service providers and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Act as the primary accounting point of contact for new investments, advising on deal structure from an accounting perspective.
• Manage annual audit processes and deliver high‑quality audit packages and supporting analysis.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing quarterly and annual regulatory filings across multiple jurisdictions.
• Oversee cash reconciliations and maintain strong controls across positions, accruals, and journal entries.
• Support transactional initiatives including restructurings, corporate actions, re‑orgs, and special situations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, escalating issues promptly.
• Contribute to automation, efficiency improvements, and integration of new tools (including AI).

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting with strong academic results.
• 4-5 years' experience in public accounting/auditing.
• ACA/ACCA/CPA qualification required.
• Exposure to private equity or hedge fund environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Advent Geneva or Alteryx is an advantage.
• Strong analytical mindset and exceptional attention to detail.
• Highly organised, able to manage deadlines and multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
