I'm working with a growing international business looking to hire a Accounts Assistant to join their finance team.

This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys the detail side of accounting and wants exposure to multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction work across Europe and the UK.

The Role
You'll support the wider finance function across a range of areas including month-end, reconciliations, VAT, fixed assets, and reporting.

Key responsibilities:

• Month-end journals (accruals, prepayments, reclasses)

• Balance sheet and bank reconciliations across multiple entities

• Assisting with management accounts and reporting packs

• Intercompany reconciliations and variance analysis

• VAT returns across multiple jurisdictions

• Maintaining the fixed asset register

• Supporting audits and ongoing finance projects

• Assisting with reporting and data analysis using Power BI

What they're looking for:

• Experience in a finance or accounting role

• Strong month-end and reconciliation experience

• VAT exposure

• Good Excel skills (lookups, pivots)

• Exposure to or interest in Power BI / data reporting tools

• High attention to detail

Nice to have:

• ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Sage)

• Exposure to multi-entity or international environments

• Part-qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) or working towards
