As the market opens up and we’re gaining transparency on activity, Investment analyst skills are growing in demand. Particularly those with strong excel where three years’ experience can command approx. €45k to €55k plus bonus.

With the right blend of relationship and communications skills, this can continue to grow over the following three years with an increasing orientation towards the bonus at the more senior level.

Skills Shed

In demand skills right now include Financial Modelling and excel where the ability to manipulate data and demonstrate insights are experiencing high demand. In particular scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis within the Real Asset space is particularly valuable.

On the Compliance side, experience liaising with the Central Bank and other regulatory bodies represents a valuable skill set. In particular for the many new Fintech and Financial Services launching in Ireland that require Preapproved Control Function resourcing to operate locally.

Dutch fintech Bunq has applied to the Central Bank of Ireland for authorisation to passport its banking services into the Irish market.
